Josh Lucas is a famous American actor, who has appeared in many films, such as Glory Road, A Beautiful Mind, and Poseidon. Josh Lucas grew up traveling the South with his hippie activist parents and younger siblings, two sisters and a brother. By the age of thirteen, he had lived in thirty different locations, including the Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island, in South Carolina. His parents also organised campaigns against nuclear power plants. Josh Lucas attended Kopachuck Middle School and graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 1989, where he acted in high school plays. Josh Lucas did not attend college so he could pursue his acting career.

Josh Lucas began his career when he was 19, having moved to Hollywood after high school graduation. He appeared as a guest star on several TV sitcoms in his early twenties, including Fox’s True Colours and Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. Other projects included horror Child of Darkness, Child of Light an adaptation of James Patterson’s novel Virgin, a tale of two Catholic schoolgirls who find themselves pregnant under mysterious conditions. Lucas followed this appearance by working with the executive producer Steven Spielberg and then unknown actor Clive Owen.

Josh Lucas resides now in New York City. Josh Lucas is also a YouthAIDS ambassador and he joined when he shot the ALDO HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in April 2005. Soon after, Josh Lucas officially accepted his role as a Youth AIDS Ambassador at the 2005 Gala. HIV/AIDS prevention is particularly important to Josh Lucas as his mother has made a career counseling young men and women with the hopes of education them about the ravaging and often deadly effects of this too common and easily preventable disease. Josh Lucas also supported Barrack Obama, during the 2008 presidential campaign, volunteering to help potential voters register at colleges in Pennsylvania. Aside from being involved in health and politic organizations, Josh Lucas has also made a name in the Hollywood industry, and we will certainly hear more from him.
